LAUZON celebrates 25th anniversary with over 200 guests at Fairmont Château Montebello.
Papineauville, Quebec; May 31, 2010: In celebration of 25 years of ongoing success, LAUZON Distinctive Hardwood Flooring, a major employer in the region, received over 200 guests from all over North America at the prestigious Fairmont Chateau Montebello on the evening of May 29th. The event was a professionally-organized cocktail hour, speech and dinner, with live entertainment on hand and colourful banners depicting the theme and logo for the evening.
Guests gathered outdoors for cocktails in the beautiful setting provided by the world-class Montebello hotel and conference centre, after which they were thanked personally by David Lauzon, founder and owner of the company, before enjoying a gourmet meal and live entertainment. Specially-appointed LAUZON “Ambassadors” greeted guests at the door and presented them with custom-made gifts made from the same quality hardwood that LAUZON uses for its high-end flooring.
The fact that so many individuals travelled long distances to attend the celebration is indicative of the loyalty and support that David Lauzon and his colleagues have inspired in their longstanding corporate relationships. Several business partners were given special mention for their support.
The event was LAUZON’s way of thanking their many suppliers, customers and employees for the phenomenal growth that the company has experienced over the past 25 years. From one sawmill and seven people, LAUZON is now 11 facilities throughout Quebec with over 800 employees. The company owns and operates two distribution centers, a world-class sawmill and four finishing plants, manages nearly 1,000,000 hectares of public forests (nearly 50% of which are FSC-certified) and owns and manages 22,000 hectares of private forest. In the last two decades, LAUZON has ranked three times as one of Canada’s top 50 privately-owned companies, and has won countless awards from both industry and government.
LAUZON Distinctive Hardwood Flooring is proud to be a Canadian-owned international provider whose environmental policy, according to David Lauzon, has “always been one that takes into consideration the need for sustainable resources and processes. From the very beginning, and because of the choices we’ve made along the way, our hardwood floors have been and still are the best and most environmentally-friendly flooring choice there is today. We’re the only company of our kind that converts all wood residue into recycled energy, and we’ve been doing this since 1995. Our finishing plants are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and we boast the most advanced finish application process on the continent, all of which take into consideration efficient energy use and a lifetime of enjoyment for the home-owner.”
LAUZON Distinctive Hardwood Flooring is Canada’s flooring industry leader and a major hardwood flooring manufacturer in North America. From forest to floor, LAUZON is a fully integrated operation, a rare and enviable position for any company LAUZON has earned a global reputation and is recognized as the industry benchmark for innovative flooring products. It is a leader in sound environmental and green-value FSC-certified products.
