1. Maintain relative humidity control in your home; this is essential to having a healthy environment for hardwood floors. It is recommended that you keep your humidity levels as follows, depending on which product you have invested in:
Classics Collection – 35-55% humidity
NextStep Collection – 35-65% humidity
2. Furniture legs and wheels can scratch and gouge your wood floor – use special protective covers (rubber or felt, not plastic) at the base of all your furniture.
3. Doormats or rugs at all entry points can significantly reduce the amount of dirt and moisture being tracked into the house and onto your wood floor. Keep doormats and rugs clean and dry with regular care.
